With Label Support And A Little Patience, This Song Would Have Gone Top 10

In 2006, the Louisville, Kentucky-based Parlour Boys took mobile phones by storm being selected out of 4,000 artists to launch their first single “Lovers” on Verizon’s V CAST. This also led to this cool music video being released on the phones as well.

While this seemed like a great idea that would propel the band to newer heights, the success did not last. The exposure was limited and the group disappeared from the scene. Granted, they did release a self-titled EP before disbanding, but had they obtained that major label deal and even released “Lovers” five years later, it would be a sure-fire hit. The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, and Arctic Monkeys are having success performing similar tunes.

It is a bloody shame the YouTube upload has only over 2,000 views. While it is up, take a look and a listen at what could have been. Perhaps they will come back and give it one more chance at stardom and hit a home run.
